1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WeeklyMuse ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use WeeklyMuse. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Accounts

You may sign in with an email and password, GitHub, Google, or Discord. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

You agree to provide accurate information, including a username that does not impersonate another person or entity, and that does not violate any third-party rights.

4. User-Generated Content

Users may submit album nominations and choose a public username. You retain ownership of any content you submit, but by submitting it you grant WeeklyMuse a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content in connection with operating the Service.

You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. WeeklyMuse reserves the right to remove any album submission or other content at its sole discretion, at any time, without notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Submit automated requests (bots, scrapers) without prior written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. Album Retirement

Albums that reach the top of a weekly leaderboard are permanently retired and may not be submitted in future weeks. This is a core feature of the Service, not a limitation of your rights.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings, which will remove your personal data from our systems as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

WeeklyMuse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Album metadata and artwork is sourced from third-party APIs (MusicBrainz, Deezer) and we make no representations as to its accuracy or completeness.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeeklyMuse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
